If you want the extension arm set up at different heights the U-bolts can also be loosened and you can rearrange the extension arm, so it leaves up a few customization options.

With the post actuator, you're able to retract the vertical post, allowing you to roll the hoop away into storage such as in your garage or through a pair of double doors.
